BINTAN

About The Location

Bintan Island or Negeri Segantang Lada is an island in the Riau archipelago of Indonesia. It is part of the Riau Islands province, and is located only 1 hour away from Singapore by high-speed comfortable catamaran Ferry.

Upon arrival at Bintan Ferry Terminal, you will be picked up and transferred to the eastern coast of Bintan, the Trikora Beach. The bus ride is 1 hour from the Ferry Terminal. While it is located slightly further away than the usual Bintan Resorts in the north, the Trikora beach faces the South China Sea and is away from busy area of the north, giving you the peace and tranquility plus the relaxing view of the South China Sea.

About The Dive Sites

Dive Sites around Trikora area are typically shallow, ranging from 5m to 18m. While the visibility is not that great (usually between 5m to 15m visibility), the coral reefs are very healthy and there are many schools of juvenile reef fishes as well. There are also plenty of sandy bottom sites that are suitable for courses. In addition, there are also many macro subjects for photographers to shoot.

Bintan Spa Villa has a house reef that is located 3-minute boat ride from the resort. The house reef is located below a Kelong (an offshore platform) and is easily accessible from the Kelong. The house reef comprises of the sandy bottom section which is ideal for courses, and also a coral reef section. In addition, there is also a Sampan Wreck, just 100m away from the Kelong.

We are planning to do reef conservation as well as coral restoration at the house reef, and we would like to welcome all nature loving divers to join us in our projects to contribute back to nature in a positive way!
