KM Raja Manta

The KM Raja Manta is a solid 36m long steel range diving support vessel. She is very stable and runs on twin 500hp Cummins engines. All Captains, boat crew and dive crew have many years of experience in the waters surrounding the Indonesia. 

 

She carries 2x 450 liter L&W compressors; one equipped with an air cooler and a Nitrox membrane system. She also carries 24 tonnes of fresh water and two water makers. 

 

With 3 large dinghies, rest assured for your safety when diving in strong currents. Since her launch in April 2011, she continues to impress new and existing guests alike with her spaciousness and comfort. 

 

The KM Raja Manta sleeps 22 guests in 11 cabins: 8 x En-suite (double/ twin/ triple share) and 3 x Standard (twin share with wash basin, shared bathrooms).

Facilities 

  • All ensuite cabins are on main deck and upper deck have amber storage space for luggage with camera table. A spacious toilet with hot water shower. Aircon with individual control , cabin also have large window that can be open

  • 2 ensuite twin share single bed (upper deck  C1/C2) Can be converted to King size bed.

  • 2 ensuite king bed (2 main deck C3 /C4) bed size 2.00m x 1.80m

  • 4 x ensuite twin bed (main deck) bed 2.00m x 1m.

  • 3 x standard cabin with wash basin bed 1.00m x 2.00m ( below deck) with port holes that can open.

  • Below deck have escape hatch. 

  • There are total 5 common toilet/shower (2 on main deck, 2 below deck, 1 on upper deck)

  • 500 sq feet with dinning table and sofa set. 42 inch plasma TV with 500 movies instore.

  • Out door dinning- 600 sq feet

  • Table with power point and drawer for your log books.

  • Sundeck - (1000 sq feet) with deck chair and floor mattress for massage.

  • Dive Deck / dive platform

  • 650 sq feet with camera table and amber fresh water wash tank.

Raja Manta Trip Schedule

  • Departure; 2pm, 1st Day - Laha Bay, Ambon. Or earlier if everyone arrives before and all Trip Preparations completed. Free transfer from local hotel or Pattimura Airport, Ambon to Raja Manta on Trip Departure day.

  • Return; 6am, Last Day - Laha Bay, Ambon. After we give you a breakfast and after farewells, we take you to a local hotel or the Airport in time for Check-in & flight (transfer time 10 mins). Latest RM Check-out midday, Trip Return day.

  • Last dive ends; 12pm (midday), Penultimate Day. Plenty of time for R&R while we sail back to Ambon where we spend last night on Raja Manta. This also allows for your minimum 18 hours surface interval/ No Fly Time (as recommended by PADI) before flying next day.

 

Starting with muck diving in Ambon and then crossing the Banda Sea, tracing the perimeter of islands. Let our experienced crew show you these remote and almost untouched locations with wonderful reefs and stunning drop offs. Marine life here is in abundance from macro critters, sea snakes and schooling fish to the ‘big fish’ favorites such as manta rays, reef sharks and even the chance to encounter Scalloped Hammerheads.

SAMPLE ITINERARY

Day 1

(0-2 dives) 2pm. Our staff will meet you in Pattimura Airport, Ambon, and take you to the waiting Raja Manta. Early arrivals are best so we can make check dive(s) in Ambon Bay before we get underway by 2pm for overnight sail.
 

Day 2-3

(3 dives x2 days) Diving around Banda Islands with excellent visibility, fantastic coral coverage and tremendous numbers of fish along with potential Hammerhead sightings, plus a visit to one of the Spice Islands.
 

Day 4-7

(3 dives x4 days) Ring of Fire; diving around Volcanic Islands and stunning seamounts in search of hammerheads, encounter many sea snakes, huge schools of fish, reef sharks, tunas, & other pelagic superstars.
 

Day 8

(2 dives) Hukurila Cave & Molana. Sail back to Ambon.
 

Day 9

(0 dives) 6am-12pm. Check out after breakfast, farewells, and transfer to airport. Take your pre-booked flight to Ujung Pandang (aka Makassar), Jakarta or Singapore
 

Diving days: 8 days (22 dives)
 

Note: 3 dives are scheduled per diving day*. This is due to deeper dives and long distances covered between islands. Where possible a bonus night dive may be scheduled at the discretion of the Cruise Leader. *Except Trip Departure day & Trip Return day.
